Ice King's story! Lesson 3

Hello!!!

Before reading:

Scan the text and try to spot new words, then write them down and discuss their meaning before looking them up.

Now we will find out what happened! Let's see how the story developes:

Marceline: What is that?

Simon: I'm not sure but it's coming our way. C'mon! Marcy, you stay in the car. I'll be right back.

Marceline: Simon! You are not going to put it on. Are you?

Simon: I have to. To protect us.

Marceline: But you are gonna act weird again.

Simon: Don't worry I can control it better now.

Marceline: Hmm...

Simon: It's OKAY! BRB... Oh, boy, here it comes... Oh "bread balls", oh "bread balls"...
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I call upon the powers of ice and snow. Ice winds blow!!
Argh!! You will no longer terrify a 47-seven-year-old-man and a 7-year-old-girl.

Marceline: Simon! Stop! It's frozen!

Simon: Not now Gunter I'm doing big people things come on play in the snow... Build me a snow man!

Marceline: Simon... Simon, are you OK?

Simon: Yeah...

Marceline: You are getting worse, Simon. Your hair and your nose are longer. And, you started to hoover in the air!

Simon: Oh, yeah? And did I look pretty FLY???

Marceline: What are you talking about??? You are scaring me.

Simon: HE hehehe... I'm sorry did I say something?

Marceline: Simon, promise me you will never put it on again.

Simon: OK. I promise.

After reading:

- Do you think Simon will keep his promise to Marceline?
- Do YOU keep your promises?
- What would you do in Simon's place?

Until next lesson!

-Chris!
